Getting Here
We're on 5th Avenue between 13th and 14th Streets, a short walk from Union Square. Most people come by subway, and there are good options if you drive.
Where we'd park
MPG Parking
55 W 14th St, with a second entrance at 54 W 15th St
It's the cheapest, most consistent parking near the studio: $25 for the whole day when you book in the MPG Manhattan Parking app.
- Use the 15th Street entrance and you never have to drive on the 14th Street busway.
- The garage is open 6 AM to midnight, and cars can't come out between midnight and 6 AM. For an evening that runs past midnight, park on the street instead.
Subway & PATH
- 14 St–Union Square: 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R, W, about two blocks east
- 14 St / 6 Av: F, M, L, about a block west
- 14 St / 7 Av: 1, 2, 3, two avenues west
- From New Jersey, the PATH stops at 14th St and 6th Ave, a block away
Bus
- M14A and M14D Select Bus Service along 14th Street, stopping at 5th Avenue
- M1, M2, M3 and M55 down 5th Avenue, right past our door
Street Parking
Evenings and weekends, there is usually street parking close by:
- 15th and 16th Streets between 5th and 6th Avenues: free after 6 PM on weekdays and free all weekend
- Most of 13th Street: the same
- 11th and 12th Streets: spots open up regularly
- 5th Avenue in front of the studio: metered parking after 7 PM on weeknights
Always check the posted signs before you leave the car.
Driving In
- 14th Street is a busway from 6 AM to 10 PM. You can turn onto it to drop someone off or to reach a garage, but you have to take the next right. After 10 PM it's open to all traffic.
- We're inside Manhattan's congestion pricing zone, so driving in carries the toll.
Citi Bike
- W 13 St & 5 Ave, right around the corner
- E 15 St & 5 Ave and E 16 St & 5 Ave, a block or two up 5th
- University Pl & E 14 St, just to the east
At the Door
- Ring the Big Apple Ballroom buzzer downstairs and come up to the 5th floor.
- There's no step at the entrance, so it's an easy way in for wheelchairs and strollers.
