In this intensive workshop, you’ll dive into the fundamentals of this dynamic partner dance style, known for its smooth, elastic connection and playful improvisation. Over the course of 2 h 30 min, you’ll learn essential techniques, footwork patterns, and basic styling tips to have a general understanding of the dance . Sophie will break down each step, providing guidance to ensure you grasp the basics effectively.

Exploring West Coast Swing Across Hip-Hop, Blues, and Lyrical

In this two-hour workshop, we’ll focus on mastering one foundational figure, then explore how to stylize it for each genre’s unique feel. You’ll learn how subtle shifts in timing, body movement, and energy can bring out the essence of Hip-Hop’s groove, the depth of Blues, and the fluidity of Lyrical dance—all while staying true to West Coast Swing’s core. Perfect for intermediate + dancers who want to expand their musicality, experiment with creative expression, and build a richer connection to the music.

WC Swing Basics 7:30 PM

West Coast Swing patterns and technique. Suitable for all levels. Most students need at least two months of experience before moving on to level II. Suitable for all levels. 

WC Swing II 8:30 PM

West Coast Swing II is a continuation of the "Basics" class with more advanced patterns and partnering. You should have a good understanding of and ease with the Left Side Pass, Right Side Pass, Sugar Push, and Whip before moving on to WC II from the Basics class. As with the Basics class, signing up for this class includes the party afterwards so you don't need to register for both.
